C.K. Brooke is an award-winning, Amazon bestselling Michigan author. She began writing her own stories at the age of six, and as founder and president of her high school’s first book club in 2006, she self-published her first novella (no longer in print) at age sixteen. She went on to run multiple book review blogs (including The Unofficial Dear America Fan Blog, Caity’s Readviews, and Royally Reviewed), and even hosted and produced the literary podcast “Booked Up” on iTunes in 2008 before completing her first novel in 2013.

After 164 rejection letters, C.K. Brooke’s debut novel, The Duchess Quest, was released by 48fourteen Publishing in October 2014. It received a five-star editorial review from Readers’ Favorite Book Reviews & Awards Contest and was selected as a Top 100 Notable Indie Book of 2015 by Shelf Unbound Magazine. A revised second edition was published in June 2017. The Jordinia series continues with: The Duchess Inheritance (Jordinia: Book 2) (48fourteen, April 2015), The Duchess’s Descendants (Jordinia: Book 3) (48fourteen, June 2017), and The Last Empress: A Jordinia Prequel Novella (free on Amazon). Additional titles with 48fourteen include The Red Pearl (November 2015) and 2017 Global E-Book Award Honorable Mention title and Readers’ Favorite five-star recipient, The Wrong Prince (June 2016).

In early 2016, C.K.’s American Pirate Romance series was signed by the large Hawai’i indie press, Limitless Publishing, and the first installment, 2017 RONE Award Nominee and Mid-Michigan RWA Best Banter Contest Finalist, Capturing the Captain, was published that April, followed by book two, Commanding His Heart, in September 2017. She has also self-published numerous YA fantasy novels and novellas, including Secrets of Artemis, which was honored with the Indie B.R.A.G. Medallion Award in 2017. In addition, she is the chief editor of Elphame Realms E-Zine, showcasing her own as well as other fantasy writers’ short works.
